Karachi University Book Fair

Post By : Muhammed Saad.

A three-day book fair organised by the Students Aid Project (SAP) of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) was inaugurated at the University of Karachi, on Tuesday. The huge crowd of students were in searching to find a good book at reasonable price.

The book fair consists of more than 100 stalls with books on various subjects of Science, Arts and Commerce. 10% to 20% discount is offered on the books to make it affordable for every student.

Some book sellers didnt interest in selling a book. I,myself purchased a nowel of namra ahmad ‘’Mashaf’’ at 200 rupees only at discount whose actual price is 300 rupees. So, it was really discount for me to buy a nowel. While after purchase, i saw same nowel price at 380 rupees from different stall.

In my opinion,Books open windows to new ideas, new worlds and doors to adventures but busy life style of modern age has resulted in considerable decline of book reading habit.

Students should take interest in reading the books to gain knowledge .
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”
